Initially you will need to contact us and Register; this is normally done by telephone, but you could e-mail or write to us. At registration you will give some details about yourself and your availability -- no detail about your concerns will be taken at this stage as this is a main area of discussion when you meet with your counsellor/therapist for the first time.

We can offer you the choice of relationship counselling, Family counselling or psychosexual therapy at the outset, but this may also take place later in the proceedings. Any details you share with Relate personnel is held in total confidence within Relate -- we recognise the vital importance of confidentiality. Only in very exceptional circumstances (such as where life or serious harm is threatened or endangered) is any information passed on without you're expressed permission.

Registration will cost £10 and we will ask you to pay, in advance, for your Initial Consultation. After registration we will attempt to find a convenient date to offer you an Initial Consultation with one of our counsellors. We offer appointments throughout the week day or evening Monday to Thursday, on Fridays until 2:30pm and Saturday morning totalling some 60 hours of availability. Under normal circumstances we are able to offer you an appointment within two weeks of completing registration.
